Currently, epidemics of Coronavirus 2019–nCoV disease are reported, affecting almost all areas of China.
What is a Coronavirus? 2019 – nCoV: 2019-nCoV belongs to a group of viruses that cause disease in animals and humans with varying degrees of severity. The name has derived from the characteristic arrangement of the surface lipid envelope structures of viruses in shape of solar corona. It can cause common problems such as colds, coughing, breathing difficulties, temperatures. But also deadly diseases such as respiratory disease called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) or MERS infection (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).
How it is transmitted: it gets transmitted by air, droplets. Most often it affects the mucous membranes of the upper and lower airways.
The time from infection to the onset of symptoms: 1 – 14 days
What to do after returning from the risk area: if you are traveling from the risk area, monitor your health conditions for 14 days. In the case of any febrile illness (with temperatures or fevers), unexplainable fatigue, muscle pain, headache, cough, respiratory distress, a suspicion that this may be the case of Coronavirus disease needs to be ruled out. Do not leave your apartment and contact your attending physician immediately, or emergency medical service at 155.
